Our Weekend Respite program at Camp Evergreen offers a opportunity for campers to enjoy a relaxing and fun-filled escape, while providing much-needed relief for their parents and care providers. Designed as a low-key, “stay at camp” experience, it’s a perfect way for past summer program attendees to reconnect with friends, engage in beloved activities, and simply enjoy some time away from home in a familiar and supportive environment.
Weekend Respite sessions run from late August through early May, with two special weekends offered each month. It’s a wonderful extension of the Camp Evergreen spirit, creating lasting memories and essential breaks for everyone involved.
Campers can reconnect with old friends and make new ones in a relaxed, social setting. Weekends are packed with favorite activities like arts & crafts, movies, music, dancing, and engaging games, ensuring continuous enjoyment.
Our program offers a safe, comfortable, and familiar environment where campers can feel truly at ease. It's a supportive space where they can unwind, express themselves, and enjoy independence away from their daily routine.
For parents and care providers, Weekend Respite offers a valuable opportunity to step away, recharge, and attend to personal needs, knowing their loved one is receiving compassionate, supervised care in a trusted environment.
